Can't Hurt Me

By David Goggins

A memoir & How-to guide combined in one. Whether you’re a fan of tough love or not, this book will shake you out of everything that is stopping you from achieving your dreams. It’s simple, effective & I can’t seem to stop re-reading it!

The Historian

By Elizabeth Kostova

This book is the perfect blend of fantasy & history. Captivating & alluring — Kostova has created a true gem of entertainment & beautiful prose

The Hungry Tide

By Amitav Ghosh

This was my first truly immersive reading experience & also my favorite in this category. The book transports you completly into each and every scene — creating a meditative yet exhilarating ride into a story that explores man-kind being at odds with nature.

Conspiracy To Murder

By Linda Malvern

Chilling and eye opening. This book will forever change the way you see our past. A detailed and powerful narration on this stain within the history of human conflict. You won’t be able to put it down.

Someone To Watch Over Me

By Judith McNaught

A modern day ‘knight in shining armour’ story, that will sweep you right off your feet. It’s one of my all time favourite modern romance novels. The perfect summer ‘pick-me-up’!

The Pillars Of The Earth

By Ken Follett

A sprawling immersive saga, Follet takes you on a joyride through the dark ages in a seamlessly entertaining way. While it is a lengthy book, it doesn’t feel like it once you get stuck in. It’s one of those bestsellers that lives up to it’s hype!

The Duke's Holiday

By Maggie Fenton

If you are looking for a, 'laugh out loud' Rom-Com, then look no further! Fenton's ability to make you gush over a love story, while also making you fall off your couch in hysterics is why I love her books.

Remembrance

By Jude Deveraux

This one is extremely special to me. Remembrance is the book that was my inspiration for the historical romance I just finished writing. This book is sweet, intense and gives you the kind of Happily Ever After that you didn't even know you so desperately needed!

Sisters of Sword & Song

By Rebecca Ross

It's been a while since I read a standalone fantasy that satisfied my thirst for adventure, mystery, world building and great plot line with amazing pacing. This book ticks all those boxes.
Thoroughly enjoyed and didn’t notice how quickly I got through the book.

Of Blood & Aether

By Harper Hawthorne

Wow!
I have NEVER read a romance where two people fall in love quite so viscerally as I did in this one.
Deep — potent — spicy and utterly delicious!
I devoured this book in one day and I can’t believe I have to wait for the next one.
But seriously, this is the best build up romance I have ever read. By the end, I felt so emotionally invested in everything happening that I want to sit and mourn, celebrate and love everything the characters felt.
A masterclass in falling in love!

Direbound

By Sable Sorenson

AMAZING!
Ok, what?
This book is totally and completely worth the hype it’s getting. It's fast paced but so thorough that I feel like I was living in the characters world for every scene.
The twists, my God, the twists!
Some I saw coming, others I definitely didn’t.
Loved the entire ride and I CANNOT wait for the second book!

Songbird of the Sorrows

By Braidee Otto

Thoroughly enjoyed the book!
Beautifully written and super engrossing.
My only complaint – and I’m nit picking here – is I wish that the blurb at the back cover wasn't quite so revealing. Again, I’m only nit picking. The book was sooooooooo good!
Also, I loved hearing that the author found agent representation AFTER self-publishing this book. She deserved it and how. Especially because she had the courage to self-pub, which requires the author to do all the work for sorting the sources for editing and the cover design. It was beautifully done, all of it.
And that end... I mean, I’m dying to know what happens in the next one, but that end... so good!
